Today Fort Tejon State Historic Park hosts over 100,000 visitors every year. Over 35,000 visitors enjoy the historic exhibits and living history demonstrations and over 6,000 school children participate in overnight living history programs. It is important to save our Fort Tejon, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations. |
Though there is talk that, if closed, parks may reopen in several years the repairs needed to reopen Fort Tejon could easily outweigh any saving made through its closures. Additionally, there is no guarantee that vandals could not inflict permanent damage resulting is the lost of the extraordinary 19th century adobe architecture found at Fort Tejon. |
California’s State Parks should never be a political pawn in the budget struggle going on in Sacramento. Please support us in our fight to SAVE FORT TEJON!! |
